Bayimba International Arts Festival which has been occurring every September since 2007. It takes place in Kapala, the capital of Uganda and is organized by the Bayimba Cultural Foundation. The foundation also hosts other events throughout the year but their 3-day long international festival is the main attraction which brings artists and audiences from around the globe. The focus of the Bayimba festival is to draw attention to the local Ugandan art scene and promote tourism. The festival is very diverse with street performances, music, poetry, dance, visual arts, fashion, film and kid’s activities. |
